Here are several
frequently asked questions from our prospects and customers—and
answers. Please contact us if you have
a question. What
exactly does the Robo-Pong “robot” do?
Maybe you’ve seen a tennis ball machine that shoots balls from
the other side of the court? Robo-Pong is similar for ping pong—but
has even more features than the typical tennis ball launcher. It’s
a machine that sits on one end of your ping pong table that launches
balls the same way that ping pong balls bounce—and you control
the speed, spin, and oscillation. Our top-of-the-line Robo-Pong 2040
also captures and recycles your ping pong balls. See
a short movie on how it works. And read more about Robo-Pong Benefits
and Features.
Which is the right Robo-Pong robot for me?
It really depends on your pocketbook and your skill level. Each of
the 3 robots is very affordable and have functions from the entry-level
540 to the 1040 that provide oscillation (moves the ball from side
to side) to the 2040 that recycles your returns for continuous play.
If you aren’t sure which one is right for you, you can always
start with the 540
and upgrade at a later time. But our most popular model is the
2040—for recreational players and tournament players alike.
What’s the set-up process for the robot, and how long
does it take?
You can use your Robo-Pong within minutes of reading our instructional
manual and/or seeing our instructional tape. After that it takes
only a couple minutes to take your Robo-Pong down for some ping pong
with a friend or family member—and again a couple minutes to
put it back up again.
Do you have a money-back guarantee and a service warranty?
Yes,
we have both a money-back guarantee and a 5-year limited service warranty
policy. You can return your robot for a full refund within 30
days of purchase, and if your robot is not working properly within
a year of purchase, we’ll repair it for free. After the first
year you are covered by our service policy that limits repair costs
to only $30 per incident for an additional four years.
What if I need some help with my robot?
Newgy Industries, the maker of Robo-Pong, is known for its friendly
customer service. If you have any questions or problems with your
robot, call us at Monday-Friday 8:00AM-5:00PM CST at 1-800-NEWGY or
email us, and we’ll get back to you
ASAP and answer any and all of your questions.
What happens when balls that aren’t caught in the Robo-Pong
net? Do they interfere with my play?
Balls that don’t go into the net either end up on the floor
or on the table. Most of these will not interfere with your playing
except balls that roll under your feet (quickly kick them away) or
balls that end up on the table on your side of the table net (just
brush them away with your paddle).
Is the Owner’s Manual a book with lessons or a book
on how to operate the Robo-Pong?
The Owner’s
Manual contains information on set-up, take-down, adjustments,
maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty, assembly/disassembly and parts
list. It is not a ping pong players lessons book. The Robo-Pong Player’s
Instructional Manual for $9.95 does contain lessons and covers a wide
range of strokes, serves, footwork, workout programs, etc..
What other ping pong robot extras do you offer?
Besides offering upgrade kits so that you can upgrade from the Robo-Pong
540 to the 1040 or 2040 models, we also offer a number of other fun
and useful accessories that you’ll
want to take a look at such as Pong-Master, Robo-Tote, Robo-Caddy,
and Pong-Pal.
Is Newgy Industries the manufacturer of the Robo-Pong or just
the U.S. distributor?
Newgy Industries is the manufacturer of Newgy robots. Newgy USA distributes
in North and South America, Donic in Europe, Nittaku in Japan, Newgy
Thailand in Thailand, and Taylor Brothers in the rest of Asia and
Oceania. Newgy manufactures its robots in China. |
