FAQ'S General |
Q Is Newgy Industries the manufacturer or just the US distributor? Is the robot actually made in the States? Is there only one model or are there more than one? |
A Newgy Industries is the manufacturer of Newgy robots. Newgy USA distributes in North and South America, Donic in Europe, Nittaku in Japan, Newgy Thailand in Thailand, and Taylor Brothers in the rest of Asia and Oceania. Newgy robots are manufactured in Taiwan. We currently have two models--Robo-Pong 1000 & 2000. We did have another model, the 1929, that was in production from 1988-1994, but it is now discontinued. |

Q What happens with balls that arent caught in the net? Do they interfere with your play? |
A Balls that don't go into the net either end up on the floor or on the table. Most of these will not interfere with your playing except balls that roll under your feet (quickly kick them away) or balls that end up on the table on your side of the table net (quickly brush them away with your racket). |

Q Do you have parts available for the Model 1929/2900/6900/Triten robot? |
A These model robots were made from 19881994 and share the same parts. We do still have a most parts available. If you have the Owner's Manual that came with the robot, look towards the back for complete parts diagrams and parts listings, or refer to our Model 1929 Parts List. Call us to order the parts you need. If uncertain which part is bad, refer to our Troubleshooting Guide (this guide on our website is more up-to-date than the one in the Owners Manual you received with your robot). |

Q Do you have used or reconditioned robots for sale? |
A We do from time to time have "reconditioned" robots for sale at $400 to $475. These reconditioned units were returned to us under our 30 day money back guarantee, so they have very little use. We fix anything wrong with them and verify that all pieces are in the package. We then test the unit to make sure all functions are up to standards and then we re-box them. They come with the same warranty and service policy as a new unit and we offer a new 30-Day Money Back Guarantee with these units as well. We only receive 10-12 returns a year, so reconditioned units are rare. We usually do not have these units in stock for very long they sell very quickly. |

Q I was wondering when you will be accepting contest entries for the current month? Second, when will the winner of this contest be announced? And third, is there a limit to the number of entries one can submit? |
A We begin accepting entries on the first day of each month. Entries for that month's contest ends on the last day of the month. Contest winners are announced on our website's Coaching Forum page. You can submit as many entries as you would like. Tips are saved from month to month, so even if your tip doesn't win in the month you submit it, it is still eligible for future contests. |

Q I am doing an electronics/engineering examination/thesis/project for school. Can you provide me details of how your device operates? |
A This website is loaded with information about our robots. I think you'll find our "Technical Information" pages to be of particular interest. Try this first. If you still have questions after thoroughly reviewing the information in our website, then write to Newgy Customer Service with specific questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Good luck with your project. |

Q Is the owner's handbook a book with lessons using the Robo-Pong or is it the manual that has the lessons. Those lessons mainly caught my eye and if possible, can you give me more information about it. |
A The Owner's Manual does not contain lessons. It contains information on set-up, take-down, adjustments, maintenance, troubleshooting, warranty, assembly/disassembly, and parts list. The Robo-Pong Player's Instructional Manual does contain lessons. It is $9.95 and covers a wide range of strokes, serves, footwork, workout programs, etc.. |

Q What are the differences differences among Robots 02000, 02002, 02004, and 02006? |
A The inventory numbers 02000 to 02006 only refer to the varying robot configurations we have for sale. Each contains the exact same robot. The only difference is what is included in the package in addition to the robot. 02000 is the robot by itself. 02002 is the robot with the Pong-Master game. 02004 is the robot with the Robo-Tote carrying case, and 02006 is the robot with Robo-Tote and Pong-Master. |
